The Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) recognizes members who have mastered specialized speaking skills beyond the foundational Competent Communicator level.
What is the ACG Award?
The Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) is a legacy Toastmasters communication designation that represents the highest level of the advanced communication track. It is still recognized by Toastmasters International for members who earned it under the legacy education program.
Under the legacy program, the ACG followed Advanced Communicator Silver and required two additional Advanced Communication manuals plus a qualifying workshop and coaching component. The current Pathways system uses level certificates, path completion, and separate service requirements; it does not publish a one-to-one ACG conversion.

Requirements to Earn the ACG
Hold the prior Advanced Communicator Silver award (Legacy)
The legacy Item 1226 application lists Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS), or its named legacy equivalents, as the prerequisite for Advanced Communicator Gold. This is a historical award route; confirm your record with a current club officer or World Headquarters.
Complete two additional Advanced Communication manuals (Legacy)
For the legacy ACG application, complete all five projects in each of two Advanced Communication Series manuals and attach the project completion records. Do not substitute a Pathways level without confirming the official award record.
Coordinate and conduct one qualifying workshop (Legacy)
The legacy application names one Success/Communication, Success/Leadership, or Youth Leadership workshop. It specifically excludes Better Speaker, Successful Club, and Leadership Excellence presentations for this requirement, so verify the application and approval route before planning it.
Coach a new member through the first three speeches (Legacy)
The legacy Item 1226 form asks for the new member’s name, member number if known, and year coached. Keep that evidence in the approved club record and do not paste member numbers into public or shared practice copies.

A Pathways level can demonstrate learning, but it should not be relabeled as ACG without an authorized record decision.
