How the Pathways catalog fits together
The labels are more than marketing categories. They tell you whether a member is choosing a current path, continuing an older path, exploring historical material, or trying a focused three-project experience. Keep the status separate from the skill focus so a club does not promise access, credit, or a deadline that belongs to Toastmasters’ current systems.

A broad five-level learning path
The six paths currently presented for purchase combine projects, meeting practice, feedback, and leadership development. Use the official catalog for the current focus, language, and project details rather than treating this summary as a syllabus.
Legacy paths
Existing members can finish what they started
Effective Coaching, Innovative Planning, Leadership Development, Strategic Relationships, and Team Collaboration are no longer the current purchase list. Members who already have one can continue it in Base Camp and request recognition through the official process.
Vintage paths
Classic material with a current Base Camp home
Basic Training for Toastmasters and The Communication Series: Entertaining Speaker + Storytelling bring historical Toastmasters material into the Pathways experience. Read the current Education Programs FAQ for access, purchase, language, and recognition rules.
Explorations
A narrower three-project learning experience
Explorations focus on one topic instead of spanning a full path. Online Meeting Mastery was added on August 4, 2026, with projects for attending online meetings, delivering online presentations, and leading online meetings.

The six current English paths added a meeting-role section at every level. Levels 3–5 also introduce presentations from the Successful Club, Better Speaker, and Leadership Excellence series. Confirm the exact checklist in your path before requesting level approval.

Basic Training for Toastmasters and The Communication Series: Entertaining Speaker + Storytelling joined the catalog. Classic content is accessed through Base Camp, and prior awards or downloaded materials do not automatically become credit for a purchased vintage path.

The first exploration joined the Pathways learning experience. It is separate from the six specialized paths, so verify its current access, price, and Distinguished Club Program credit in the official FAQ before planning a club goal around it.
A member-first workflow
From catalog question to useful practice
Use this sequence when a new member asks “Which path should I choose?” or when an officer is planning a Pathways speech. It keeps the decision human and practical while leaving official requirements in the systems that own them.
Check the status first
Write down whether the option is current, legacy, vintage, or an exploration. That one label prevents an old path list from becoming a promise about what a new member can buy.
Match the practice to the need
Choose a focus that fits the member’s next real audience or club responsibility. A path is a longer arc; an exploration can be a focused experiment when the topic is the immediate need.
Verify access and language
Use the official selection flow and current FAQ for availability, pricing, language, assistive-technology options, and account-specific rules. Do not copy credentials or member records into a planning tool.
Turn one project into a meeting plan
Ask the VPE or mentor for a suitable speaking slot, evaluator, meeting role, and review date. Keep project requirements in Base Camp and use SpeechTimer only for rehearsal, timing, and preparation.
Submit completion through the official workflow
A club officer or Base Camp manager controls approvals and recognition. Save only a minimum task handoff—owner, next date, and source link—in the club’s approved record.
